Welcome back to Piro!

Piro is a Nepalese word that means hot or spicy. It was originally chosen as the title for this website to reflect our goal of making this a space for "hot" theology that sets people on fire, pushes boundaries and inspires creative thought.

I decided to return to this site and try to bring it back to life as a place for theologically focused people in the Community of Christ to connect.

My name is Shannon McAdam and I am about to start my second year as a Master of Divinity student at Vancouver School of Theology. I started Piro about three years ago with Shandra Newcom-Wolsey when I was at Graceland University. At this point in my journey I am looking to connect with other peopl in the Community of Christ who are studying theology or have studied in the past. It can sometimes be challenging to not be part of one of the large, mainline denominations while at graduate school, and I think connecting together as members of the Community of Christ would be beneficial to a lot of people.
